World of Eve was founded by Eva Ploder. The former actress and television producer traveled to South Africa a couple of years ago. She met people who processed the plastic from the huge mountains of rubbish into carpets and lamps. From then on, Eva worked with women from townships, with students and other residents.
She was involved in the field of renewable energies and supported the artisanal production and marketing of recycled products. In cooperation with the Bavarian State Government, Eva developed international projects on the subject of recycling and upcycling. Together with universities, creatives, architects and craftsmen, design solutions are combined with renewable energy and recycled materials and presented internationally in exhibitions and installations in public spaces.
One of the biggest challenges of humankind is to reduce the ever-growing amount of waste or at least to dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
